before posts like that you should be sure to assay atleast 75% of possible areas.
There is plenty of places to train your mining, like Ivan said, not just 2 dots here and there.
You just need to go and discover them, not only caves floors.

What about char restoration, when it will be available?

I believe we ought not do away with this, I do not see any benefit of players being able to be idle for hours on end (by idle I mean not macroing).
