Thieves and TH's have a different purpose.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.

thieves and thunters clearly don't need a pvp or pvm boost since they don't need to be good at those. helps a bit if they're decent in pvm but they don't have to (and should not) be as good as the others in pvm. they'll go in a party for the harder chests anyway..

but since this topic is about boosting in general, maybe oomari is talking about thieves' thing?stealing/snooping/hiding/stealth and stuff like that?maybe that's what he's talking about, and in that case, it's fair to discuss it

Indeed, when you read back every class on pang has gotten more stats or other improvement...but Thiefs has gotten nothing at all.

They have different purposes, yet Thief's get 100 LP and whatnot.

Ofcourse, Treasure Hunters could be having more fighting skills (100 swords instead of 85 archery?) but the statcap increase wouldn't hurt either, they have very low maximum stats.

This thread is about classes designed for PvP/PvM. TH's and Thieves are both designed for something else.

So, we keep them out.

Not completely true. Global boosts on plates, weapons, hiding, poison...

//Reference//

Same stuff as before...

Code: Select all

<number> = number of hits with poison
/ = poison rubs off
x = poison worn off

Code: Select all

#1 15/11/13/9/9/x = 57
#2 9/10/7/1/4/x = 31
#3 19/30/15/25/7/x = 96
#4 4/8/5/9/17/x = 43
#5 10/3/4/15/5/x = 37
#6 5/5/2/5/3/x = 20
#7 1/7/16/19/15/x = 58
#8 4/3/16/35/9/x = 67
#9 5/1/16/7/3/x = 32
#10 11/12/5/2/19/x = 49

#11 2/32/5/8/11/x = 58
#12 13/9/18/3/6/x = 49
#13 5/2/15/19/12/x = 53
#14 5/8/9/1/16/x = 39
#15 2/14/1/8/19/x = 44
#16 2/2/2/16/1/x = 23
#17 2/1/6/47/4/x = 60
#18 8/19/7/34/22/x = 90
#19 7/19/14/8/14/x = 62
#20 7/1/18/4/2/x = 32

MAX = 96 hits
MIN = 20 hits
AVG = 50 hits
Here's the most recent test run with 100 at 10%. As absurd as it sounds, the AVG was exactly what I guessed it would be. With logic you can think that dpoison has 5 levels of poison and if the wear-off rate is 10% (5 x 1 / 0,1), in theory the average would be 50. And what do you know? A test run with 20 potions and the result is 50, exactly. So as it is, Assassin class is close to being finished. Wear-off rates are pretty much capped and intelligence gains will no longer bug you. Deadly poison will still become cheaper, and Iktomi's working with backstabbing.

Warrior class still remains a question mark, but a handful of players are joining class soon. For now, we wait.

Deadly poison shouldn't become cheaper imo. It's already trainnable when it wasn't before. If it becomes easier, it stops being a dream like skill like it always has been.
