While it is annoying to get robbed on occasion, its pretty boring to veterans who've played since UO was released to be able to run around without the fear of losing stuff. Having the chance to lose your belongings to robbers keeps you on your toes. And the adrenaline rush is pretty awesome, even if you die by the hand of robbers. It might promote more group play as well and increase RP when weak characters have to start hiring or befriending personal guards to escort them on dangerous roads, etc.

Not if the robbers sell it back to the public at the same/cheaper price.

The idea that robbing boosts economy is bull. All it causes is for people with the ability to deadily poison to increase their ego's and have a large storage house of items that they'll never sell/ or mule to their alts etc.

The way to improve economy is just let new prices rise and fall. It's how the world spins.

It amuses me how many of you went on to do nothing but grind monsters and hold your gear precious.
