Well, that's the thing I pointed out. Because the red/black daemon is "too good" it reflects directly to the slightly better, but more expensive hides.

Without a Haldric-like IG test, the difference between red daemon and red dragon (what comes to reflection) should be favoring red dragon by +40%.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.

well, studdeds should be boosted anyways. not in terms of AR, but in terms of elemental resistance and special effects.

there are only two classes that use them, monks and druids..plate/chain/bone users should be able to atleast consider to use them, in this or that situation..atleast market would have some more variety

i voted blackdaemon (goes along with red daemon, but i prefer black)

As I mentioned earlier, hides are already capped in elemental resistance, i.e.

7 parts x 8 fire resistance = 56 total, but since all elementals cap at 50, there's already a waste of 6.

We do have the "all elemental resisting hide armors" which are;

Hides;
Cloud as the best (very rare)
White dragon as the second best (rare)

Bones;
Giant bone as the best (very rare)
Vampire bone as the second best (very common)

Uhm...Personally i'd like to see atleast 2 more all elemental protective hide armor types.
But we do have something which is the best and the second best(?)

Could have something like;

*New hide* +6 each part
Cloud hide +5 each part
*New hide* +4 each part
White dragon +3 each part

If there was yet another "all elemental" hide, the next scale would be +7 per part (1/3/5/...). That's simply too much.

Well, combine variety against "Too much".

Bones hold the maximum count of 6.

Hides should hold effects in a higher scale. The AR is pretty dull on its own so the +7 effect wouldn't hurt much at all considering the most studded armor users will never reach about 150? (Outcluding monks ofcourse)

Makes more sense to me for every material to have one and the same "best" material.

Auro ore
Cloud hide
Giant bone

They're all on the same line.

If there was a +7 hide, you'd be hitting 50 vs. all elements with a full set. In best case if you're in Nature, you can have a nice rite to boost that resistance over all shard limits. It does go over the top.

Also a +7 defies the basic structure of elemental resistance.

You can have max. protection vs. a specific elemental, but you can't have max. protection vs. all elementals.
