Centuries of ash.

Post by Johnny Walac »

So it begins.

Once again our enemies ride together he thought. Nature and Law has gone into an alliance against their enemies Imperial and Tekstone. Winchester has stepped into a war he will not be able to win. Gaea shall feel Dennac's wrath once again and it doesn't matter how many gods protecting her. Johnny donned his armor and took a new robe. Law and Nature's alliance is a strong one and together they muster quite the army. But that is about to change. Until now they have fought against Imperial alone or Tekstone alone. Tekstone wish to destroy Gaea and Imperial wish to gain control over Felucca, together they can manage this. They rode out and the meeting took place in Magincia. Titus, Castiel and Darion was with him. Maven Vaux, Cruxis, Tyrion, Essi Eskel and Malevolence stood on the other side of the table. The agreement upon an alliance was shared by everyone. It's a win for both sides he thought, for obvious reasons. Nature had stabbed Imperial in the back. One can never trust the followers of Gaea. The hatred shared towards the tyrants was huge. Nobody really had any terms, the alliance was a golden opportunity and both needed eachother. Together they will conquer the cities of Felucca but Cult of Tekstone do not wish to take control of any. This will expand the Imperial Kingdom vastly. In return Imperial will help destroy Gaea and Winchester. The battles to come will be bloody but now the two religions will stand side by side against their common enemy.

In the darkest dungeon Wind, Darian is in a deep concentration, communing with the ancient spirits of Tekstone. The world around her has disappeared. She is in a trance able to re-live and see all that was before her. She can see herself speaking with Iva Whitewolf, the Head Priest of Law, shaking her hand and forging the strong alliance with them to fight against the Imperial uprise, but she can also see far beyond it. She can see what the ancients spirit have seen. She can see the ancient Sosaria, a world same, yet very different. The journey of her mind takes her back to the First Circle of Destruction, to the beginning of the First War. There she is, standing on her feet like she had been there. Of course she wasn't there herself, instead these are visions and memories seen through the eyes of the First Apostle of Dennac. Darian is looking at a whole different Sosaria thousands and thousands of years ago. A great town with wide road leads her to the king's castle and all the way to the throne room. On her way she is saluted and greeted by the guards and the citizens. The throne room opens before her, filled with citizens holding their breath it is there she can see the king kneel before an old man in elegant black, a man Darian knows more than well to be her god Dennac.

Dennac lays his hand on the King's forehead and gives it a gentle kiss, blessing the king in his name. The king raises and both of them turn to face the crowd. The silence is broken to a mighty cheer. The first pact between a god and men has been signed. The pact has its price though, Gaea. Dennac laughs, widens his arms and disappears to the thin air. After Dennac's departure, Darian sees herself approach the seated king, she leans forward to give his ear an whisper: Attack. The king gulps deeply, stands up and gives his First Commander the signal to prepare to troops. Bathed by the cheers of the people, the king's army march forward to one destination, to Gaea's temple with one goal, to destroy her. The First War has begun.

Darian widens her eyes and returns from her meditation. Where the alliance with Order of Law had ultimately failed, it was never the only option left. There is another king, another power able to unite all people under one banner, which can then be used to end the Ninth Circle of Destruction. Imperial and the Lord Blackthorne is a rightful heir to the throne and with Tekstone's help, he might as well one day be seated there. With a little push and a little help, we can ensure that Law and Lord British will never again stand on our way to Yew, Gaea and victory.

Gothrim received the news with perplexity. He didn't quite understand very well all that was happening, and that day he wasn't even able to be there, at the meeting. He wasn't sure what to think, he thought he would never look at members of the Cult in any other way than disgust. Very rarely did he have dreams of his old life in that cavern where Tekstone had their temple and held their meetings. Very rarely did he hear the screams of people that were sacrificed to Dennac, and this girl he once sacrificed himself. Distant, dark days that floated in his mind, like some nightmare of old. But now, these people that, like he once did, wore black clothes and spread plague, were near. Not to fight, but to forge an alliance. Not to talk against eachother, but to plot against their enemies. Each with an archenemy, each with a goal. However, both could help eachother into final victory and what was their ultimate goal.

Now came to his mind when he was "rescued" by Esuna, to a light, a new light that would shine on him and bring him happiness, wealth and prosperity. But were all those events a part of a bigger plan? Was his life a link between these two groups of people, these two gods? Perhaps, much before these days, Dennac and Esuna saw their enemies joining forces against them and had prepared an alliance themselves. An alliance that would take place when it had to. An alliance that would bring them ultimate victory.
With all this, a mere life, his life, was seen with a new understanding. He was sure many others among the years had gone through what he had gone through. Maybe even before anyone that was now alive had come to this world. But what happened was a part of a masterplan of the gods. And the recent events were merely the unfold of what Dennac and Esuna declared should happen.
Who would dare stand in their way?

The hour was set, the moment was at hand. The capital of Esuna's empire was now inhabited by the Cultists of Tekstone, however it was not war they had in mind. The weapons had been laid down days prior, as the acknowledgement of common enemies was what brought to light. The expulsion and eradication of the white and brown coats was now of great importance, with the drums of war upon the Imperium's doorstep once more. Esuna's word was emphatic and luminous, the Order of Imperial's empire would march forth onto the mainland by Her command. By any means necessary, the Imperium would extends it's hold, thus enlisting the reinforcements of the Cultists.

The meeting was now known as The Day of Reckoning. An agreement of the two greatest adjoining powers would come at a cost. The past between the two deities were of course riddled with gruesome bloodshed and treachery. It was known by all involved that the trust would have to be built on the foundation of war, entrusting ones life with another on the battlefield. An affiliation that would prosper with the tactical advances of the most accomplished armies known to man or woman. The colliding personalities would surely be an expected vexation, but it would be seen as the necessary evil of victory. A quiet respect would soon occur however, only strengthening the resolve of their now combined goals.

The decisions for the future of the Imperium had been laid out before the High Council and the agreement was made. Today's meeting between the Cultists had marked the commencement of the growth within Esuna's empire. The Imperium's march would now be accompanied by the deafening sounds of countless holy steeds, trampling upon the pavement and land. The path of supremacy is established and the undertaking shall set forth, as the purging of the land approaches. The holy titian and onyx colored robes will ride side by side, with no semblance of mercy given to their adversaries. The ultimate fear in this world is that of the unknown, and the newly established alliance is unbeknownst to all beings. On this day, our enemies will know the fullness of fear, the true depth of despair in all of their efforts. Tomorrow is written forthwith by the blades of our swords and the blunt force of our mace. Tomorrow is here.

The alliance between the Cult of Tekstone and the Order of Imperial has been announced. It is a thing of base instinct and emotion that has been created. A pact between those who would establish an eternal empire - and those who will transcend the physical world when it is ripped apart by forces beyond human imagination. I find it hard to believe that they would give us aid if they had a full understanding of the world's end. Then again, any man who truly grasps this concept would find the battle for land and resources meaningless. It is not for me to question fortune when her gaze rests upon us, ever fickle. These mortals will be our brothers in battle as the divination of the Chaos Templars has decreed.

The power that keeps this world intact will grow stale and impotent under the weight of our assault, and the impending cataclysm will come sooner than expected when strongholds of order fall and their influence is brought to an end. A torrent of blood will water the land, and a rain of ash will cover it in a soft last embrace before it collapses into the Void and its meaningless existance comes to an end.

William adds a small paragraph to his dairy...

A new dawn has come..
A new alliance is made.. new friendships and trust...
The Cultist and us Imperialist
We are victims of conspiracy
Order of Law and Nature..
They call us enemies of the world, when they have done very little to protect those who live upon it...but they rather protect their money..greed .. the arrogants of their leaders will lead to their defeat and humiliation...
We must have vigilance and be prepare for war...
All Men shall bow to us.. we won't bow to no lesser men..
History shall be written by the victors...
