A day in Britain

Post by Emirien »

As Eric walked through the streets of Britain he smiled to himself, seeing familiar sights, smelling familiar smells. „Ahh, nothing has changed... not a single thing“ he thought to himself as he walked past Good eat‘s, the local baker Randolph had always been there, being watched by his master Craig. „One of these days Craig is going to stick his nose too far into one of Randolph‘s pies and lose a finger... or two“ he thought and chucked, as he still remembered the first time he saw them fighting over, what was it... oh yes, cake filling. As he kept walking towards the bank he saw a house all too familiar, the headquarters of The Wayfarers. He wondered to himself if Morgain and Charha still ran things, and decided he should really drop in and say hi, show himself and see others. When he walked up to the door, he found it to be locked, he knocked loudly three times and all he got in exchange, was silence. Eric figured he would just walk to the bank then and talk to Balint the banker, he knew everyone and everything that happend within the city.

„Oh The Wayfarers? Yes, yes i know where they are located now. You remember Seward the tailor right? Well its right behind his shop.“ Balint said and pointed towards Seward‘s shop. Eric smiled, thanked him and walked out, seeking the new headquarters of The Wayfarers. A few minutes later, and a dozen wrong turns, Eric finally found the house and saw the familiar guild colours.

A few days passed, and Eric had met up with a few guildies of his, Ripkin the alchemist, Thoran the, to be honest, he wasnt too sure what Thoran was aside from being old... And he even met Darrol, the Necromancer of the group. They had a delightful chat about old things and new, and even some ideas were thrown around, some in jest, others in full seriousness. As the day progressed Eric decided to take a quick look at the old ant cave to see if it was still full of ants or not. A few hours later he had his answer, as he came back up onto the surface, covered in grime, ant guts and blood. „Well, that was a fun way to end the day, even if they did get a good few hits on me“ he mumbled to himself, looking at the dent in his helmet. „I will have to get this repaired soon enough“ he thought as he walked back to Brit, smiling to himself knowing that even with the lack of old friends, he would just have to make new ones, and have a few adventures with them.
